amyleannej:  Gorgeous dress! I love the champagne underneath. Even with the waist stay I would be wary of making that strapless. What about adding lace straps instead? No idea how much everything would cost though!

amyleannej:  It might be easier to offer advice if there were pictures of it on you, but I think it is gorgeous just the way it is.

I like the champagne, but I wouldn’t change the skirt color. I think it looks really nice with the skirt the way it is, and I’m afraid the overlay would cheapen the look. Lining the bodice will be enough to bring the more flattering shade around your face, which is the most important part.

amyleannej:  I really like the champagne underneath- its very pretty & gives that gorgeous lace a little more oomph than just the solid colors on solid colors. I also really like the solid band you put across the waist in the last pic more than the original scallop- I feel like it would probably help define your waist better. The sweetheart neckline without straps will fit perfectly and is pretty much universally flattering so yay! I wouldn’t bother with the overskirt unless like you said there is an issue with the stains- have you tried taking it to a dry cleaners? Thay may be able to get it out for you… It’s hard to tell how much alterations will cost, my guess would be around $100-$200 but it all depends on your area, shop, and seamstress. None of the things you mentioned except the waist & overskirt would be too difficult for them to do…

I would look into getting a petticoat or slip or something to go underneath to give that skirt some shape and your legs some breathing room on the day of- pretty much every dress looks better with a petticoat/hoop/slip!

If you like the lace on the skirt of the Lazaro dress you could place lace appliques in a pattern to cover the stains on the skirt of your dress.  I have seen some really nice new or vintage lace appliques on Etsy.  I love your idea though!

How low does the back go? Can you wear a strapless bra? I love the idea of the champagne underlay and the tulle skirt! Sounds amazing!

amyleannej:  Ask about having cups sewn into the dress.  It will give some support without wearing a bra
