So, I was fine over the weekend. Early Monday morning I woke up with a sore throat. Went to work on Monday, but felt worse and worse as the day went on, so after work I went to a walk in clinic. It’s a heat wave…I was wearing pants and brought in a fleece hoodie with me, and there I was sitting in the waiting so cold I was trembling. I had a fever of 102, and the doctor actually looked shocked when he looked in my throat, my tonsils are so blown up they are nearly touching eachother. He prescribed me penicillin, telling me I have an ear and throat infection. I have to take advil every 4hrs like clock work, I even wake up in the middle of the night if the advil has worn off. And the advil is barely taking the edge off the pain in my throat 🙁
I’m just wondering if I should look into having my tonsils removed? They are huge even when they are not infected, and I often get tonsil stones…Oh so pleasant…
I work with seniors for a living, and I feel so awful having to miss work and leaving my co-workers to pick up the slack, but at the same time it would be bad if I spread my illness to them.
I know you guys can’t fix me, and I have to wait for my antibiotic to kick in. I just needed a little virtual cry.
