I really, really would like to use the thumbprint tree for our rehearsal guestbook, but FH is less than thrilled with the idea of having people deal with inky fingers for the duration of the evening. Anyone have any great tricks or products to remove ink? Thanks in advance!

Have some hand sanitizer wipes on the guest book table… that way when everyone is done with their fingerprint they can just wipe the ink off. You might want to try this though cause I’m not sure it will wipe all the ink off…. just a thought.

Fiance and I have also had this argument! I say put out the hand wipes or hand sanitizer, if only to make people feel better. From my own experiences at banks having to fingerprint checks, etc., the ink disappears for the most part after you stamp your thumb. Hand sanitizer or wipes would probably make Fiance and your guests feel better, however.
I think this will turn out too awesomely not to use this!

We are doing a thumbprint tree too! I think our plan is similar to the pps. We are putting out a basket of wet wipes on the guestbook table for people to wipe off with.

Yeah we just had a small tub of baby wipes and a trash can next to the area and it seemed to work fine. 🙂

@missbiscuit: Yes! You’d be surprised at the stuff baby wipes can remove.

We bought ours from Bleu de Toi and they said to use baby wipes with their ink.
She also suggested we cut the baby wipes in half.

@thefuturemrsrowe: On that note, Walmart sells these white/ivory little tubs with flushable wipes in them that are about half the size of regular baby wipes. They’re generic brand and about $3 for 40ct or so.
