Anyone have the Thundershirt? We just ordered ours on Tuesday- so hopefully it will be here soon! For some reason one of our 15 month old puppies has become a nervous nelly! He seems to be getting more skiddish every day. He is now scared of his water bowl and petrified of being locked in his crate. The crate thing just started happening about a week ago. He has bent the steel on the bottom and he slides the plastic bottom out every day. We have tried giving him a kong, covering the crate with a blanket and today we left a radio on in their room. (We have 3 dogs- 1 beagle and 2 15 month old shar peis) We have no clue what started his trying to escape from the crate after 1 year of being in it but we feel bad that he is hating it so much.
We are going to get a trainer to come out to our house and see how we interact with the dogs and how they interact with each other and what we can do differently. But in the meantime- we have heard good things about the thundershirt- so we are trying that.

Heck yeah it’s come in very handy. My dog is actually wearing one right now because of a loud thunderstorm. He went from scratching at doors and trying to climb in my skin to now laying calmly on my lap. He feels much more secure when he wears it I think

@Llava: Do you leave it on him when you are not home? I am curious to see if we can leave ours on our little buddy when he is in his crate.

Those commercials are too funny! I’ve been curious to know if they work well or not.

Yes I leave my dogs’ on sometimes when I’m not home. The only thing is after having it on for a longer period of time he will start getting restless. Usually he wants to be scratched because it’s snug and made of a pretty thick material so he can’t quite take care of all typical dog itches.

I have heard good things about thundershirts.
I hope you can get everything sorted out with a trainer, having a scared pup is difficult!
