Anyone go to St. Lucia, Ti Kaye Village?  We are very very close to booking our honeymoon there.  Did you like it?  Is it worth it to go and not have the private pool or does that really make it special?

i went to st lucia and stayed at ladera and ti kaye. honestly, we just didn' love it. we didn't step foot in either pool (the private nor public). we went in november and it was a tad too cold. we did get into our private plunge pool at ladera. every day... several times a day. we adored ladera. not sure if this is helpful. if you have any other questions, let me know.

We are going there for our honeymoon in about 2 weeks! I am really excited and cannot wait. I booked it because I had heard about it on here from someone and then it was featured in one of the wedding magazines. I used Tripadvisor.com for their reviews and it had what I was looking for (someplace rustic, open air shower, plunge pool, beautiful beach, and lots of fun activites like ziplining). And I felt like it was a good deal for the price. I have heard about some of the drawbacks but there are some wherever you go. I hope you go with your first instinct.

We went to Tikaye and absolutely loved it!  I actually have a post about it on my blog:

We went in June and the weather was perfect!  It rained only 1 day.  We wanted something very private and small, so it was a toss up between Stonefield and Tikaye. We chose Ti Kaye because we could walk to the beach (and not have to take a bus/shuttle).  It's also very close to the Friday fish fries, and they have scuba onsite.  Their wine selection is awesome.  The best thing I can say is their service.  Silly me forgot my birth control, and they actually went out to the pharmacy and pick up some BC for me! It may not be a luxurious as Ladera or the newer resorts, but it has a great rustic natural feel.
