So I was looking for white. White or ivory. Then I walked into Express and found this adorable, comfy and totally on clearance Tiffany blue dress. I wasn’t even going to try it on, but I’m glad I did! It was on clearance for what I thought was $39.99 and I was happy with that. But it rang up at $23.99!! It has a silver zipper down the front (which I’m honestly not crazy about) but with silver heels and a white shrug, do you think this works for my bridal shower in September?
PS that is not me in the pic, but it was the only pic I could find of the dress on google images.

BurlapnLace: I love this dress, and this is coming from someone whom wore a BLACK dress to her bridal shower, and was totally fine with doing so 🙂
Seriously, this was a steal, and it is really cute!!

I didn’t know dressing bridal or wearing white was something brides did at their showers. I wore an orange, white, and brown maxi dress lol. I think it’s just fine.<br />

There’s no rule for what a bride should/shouldn’t wear to their shower. Wear what you want and keep it moving.

I love it! I wore a blue/black dress to my shower…

Wear whatever the heck you want! Everyone already knows that you are the bride, so wearing white is 100% unnecessary. Plus the dress is cute!

I wore jeans and a t-shirt to my shower. No one but you is going to care what color your dress is, as long as you’re dressed appropriately for the occasion (mine was a couples’s shower backyard BBQ so jeans were spot-on).

I wore bright yellow to my shower! I don’t think you need white!

I wore a bright orange dress to my shower and don’t regret it at all. I tried on so many short white dresses for my shower and rehearsal dinner, and didn’t like any of them. Finally I realized that in my closet is all sorts of colors- mostly dark colors, and really no white. Wearing white one day was enough (well… ivory) so I wore an orange dress to my shower and a turquoise one to my rehearsal dinner. All three dress (my wedding dress included) were lacey, which I thought was kind of cool (though very few people would have been able to put that together until after seeing my wedding dress at the wedding and by then they probably don’t care enough to correlate it).

All good points…and true, WHO CARES!! 🙂
I’m a little cliche and traditional, so I think I’m just trying to convince myself more than anyone that this dress is good for my shower. I really wanted white but at the end of the day, couldn’t find anything I liked as much as this. I’ll get over it!!

BurlapnLace: I’m all for wearing whatever you want to wherever you want. And this is really cute!! To me it looks mint green, am I nuts??

RedHeadKel: Not nuts…in this pic it does look mint green. In person it’s more aqua. I love it!

Before everything about weddings got all Pinterest-y, I’d never even heard of brides “having” to wear white to every wedding-related event. I’m pretty sure everyone will know you’re the bride. Plus, that dress is super cute.

It’s gorgeous – I’m totally for it! 🙂
