Hello Bees, I have been so lucky that my FI took me to Tiffany last weekend to surprise me with an engagement ring. We have been looking at the Classic setting and the Novo. They look gorgeous, I am so excited. I am thinking and debating between the two styles, both in around 0.80 carats. I am very classic and simple, normally do not wear any rings or other jewellery. I am more of a comfy person as well, so would like something comfortable for every day use. We live in the UK, so won’t like to have someting too showy either.
I like the Classic as it so simple and elegant and I was looking at the diamond bands which can dress the ring up. I like the channel set, the milgrain and maybe the shared prong setting for the wedding band.
The Novo is special and very sparkly due to the pave band. I think it only goes well withe the matching pave wedding band but maybe it’s too much together. Not sure if pave is comfy for every day…
What do you think all bees?
Any UK bees here?
1. Tiffany Classic with channel band as an example
2. Tiffany Novo with matching Novo band

Gotta vote classic, but I’m a little biased 🙂

If you describe yourself as classic and simple then I would go with the classic solitaire.

I didn’t vote because I wanted a third option! The Tiffany Classic with the Novo Band 😛 I love BOTH the classic and the novo, though…. I just don’t like channel, personally.
(Also, get ready for people telling you to get your ring elsewhere so you don’t spend a ton on the name brand. Don’t listen to them! :p I have a Tiffany ring and I love it because it was “The One.” Go with your heart!)

I voted classic because that’s exactly what I have… Tiffany Classic with channel set band. Beautiful! 🙂 Make sure to try on both widths of the channel set band, I ended up with the skinnier one because I liked it better with the engagement ring.

Ugh I love them both! I think I’d probably go for classic with a channel/pave wedding band though

@TammieRei: Not to steal the OP’s thread but did you see that they moved the flower ring into their engagement section of the website?????? I thought of you when I saw that!

@newbeebee13: Novo all the way! I have a novo lookalike (not from Tiffany, but looks exactly like it) and I absolutely love it! Get so many compliments on how sparkly it is with all of the diamonds on the band 🙂

I voted classic, it’s so beautiful and well, classic! It can be paired with any band and it will look amazing!

@wrkbrk: No way!!! Now I HAVE to go check it out, naturally! Thanks for letting me know!!! <3

@newbeebee13: Man I loved that Novo, I wanted it for myself. That’s def my vote!

I have always love the Novo so it definitely got my vote. For me it was a close call between the Novo and the Soleste. I went with the Soleste but the Novo will always have a place in my heart 🙂 I too don’t usually wear any rings or other jewery. I do not find the pave band to be at all uncomfortable.

I would probably want to ask if you plan on passing your ring down to future generations. If so, the classic Tiffany band would be more easily resizable. I think that would also be something to consider if you are planning any pregnancies due to swelling/retention as well.
I love the look of the Novo – but personally I would be too scared about the possibility of losing one of the side stones. Pave settings are notorious for that, and I live a relatively active lifestyle.

@newbeebee13: I love the Novo, but you should get whichever one makes your heart the happiest when you try it on. You can’t go wrong with either gorgeous ring!
