So my co-worker told me about this really cool site that she bought all of her Bridesmaids jewelry from http://www.overstocksilver.com/tiffany-inspired-jewelry.html I checked it out and the jewely looks like it is beautifully crafted and very VERY reasonably priced, however I need a few opnions…….
– How would you feel about getting ‘Tiffany Inspire’ Jewelry as a bridesmaids gift?
– Is it appropriate to give Tiffany Inspired Jewlery as a bridesmaids gift?
I would love to buy the real thing but who can afford that for 8 bridesmaids!

Are your maids really going to know the difference? My girls wouldn’t have. I don’t see anything wrong with it. It’s a very pretty necklace.

Well its the exact same things, but with no tiffany markings / inscriptions according to Overstock, I called this past Friday to get a little more info on what exactly tiffany inspired meant.
And it comes in a blue box, but not the little tifffany blue box! I guess I am being to particular!

I think it is a beautiful necklace regardless of whether it is Tiffany’s. I would be happy to receive that as a BM 🙂

Its beautiful! I would be honored to have such a piece of jewellery, I dont think they would have an issue…I would hope they wouldn;t!
I say go for it, the cost is good, you know someone who has bought from them previously, and the quality looks good – I see no problem

Id still love it. I was considering ordering from them for my BM’s but ended up getting something else.

I just got Fake Tiffany’s stuff for a BM’s gift in a wedding I was in a few months ago. I don’t think it is that big a deal. I love the necklace you’ve found!

I personally wouldn’t mind receiving faux Tiffany jewelry, but some of my BMs tend to be a little stuck up when it comes to name brands. It really depends on your BMs and their personal preference, although that necklace is gorgeous!

Personally, I just don’t really like Tiffany designs period. The only thing they have going for them is the name brand in my opinion. That necklace in particular is actually one of the prettier ones I’ve seen, but I’m sure you could easily find something that’s even more pretty that you don’t have to worry about being "faux" anything. I mean as soon as it’s faux its going to be considered cheap, but if you get equally inexpensive jewelry with no name brand people aren’t going to know if you spent $25 or $125 on it … just my opinion 🙂

I really like the necklace you picked out. I just saw it yesterday when I was at Tiffany’s!!! I definitely wouldn’t be picky about it and would love to get that as a gift. Have you thought about pearls? Those are elegant too and on sale at Macy’s! That’s what I got my maid of honor.

I think they’re actually a lot of cute things on that site! Thanks for the bookmark.

I am not a huge fan of knock-offs. It’s a pretty necklace and if it was just a necklace that you found I would really like it. BUT, since it’s being marketed as basically a Tiffany’s piece, that bugs me. I’m weird about stuff like that.

I’m kind of with KateMW. I don’t like knock-offs in general b/c I think that it’s unfair to the designer…not, of course, that I don’t hink Tiffany’s mark ups are absurd…they are. But it kind of irks me that this site even copies their website photos almost exactly.
I guess my thing is that for those prices there are plenty of talented designers on Etsy that you could support. You’d also be getting something totally unique for your BM’s. And to be honest, I probably wouldn’t wear the knock-offs a lot afterward if I were the BM. I was just comparing the Tiffany’s photo to the "inspired" one. They are great copies, but you can tell that the workmanship of the Tiffany’s one is finer. Just my two cents.
I do really like the design you picked out. My mom actually gave me the similar design to it (circle instead of heart, white pearl) as an engagement gift:
