Prepare yourself for a ton of bees to flock to your thread to inform you of how awful Tiffany & Co. is or how awful moissonite is…it’s likely to turn into a shit show.

I will simply link this thread. It’s another bee who had a Tiffany inspired ring made with a moissanite. If you look through all her posts I’m sure you can find more pictures. I’m just too lazy.

@xtinafig:  I can’t really give you any advice on this, but I will say that you’re right, your wedding band is super stunning!

I would get a Tiffany inspired 6 prong solitaire elsewhere, either with diamond or moissanite (whichever is in your budget). I have to say though, I’m not sure that such a thin solitaire is going to look balanced with your wedding band no matter how big the center diamond, but I suppose that’s a matter of preference.

Do you have a side view of your wedding band? It’s gorgeous and I would love to see 🙂

I have a Tiffany-inspired moissanite solitaire. It’s 6.5mm (1 carat). Let me know if there are any questions I can answer. I’m really happy wih my ring.

@AquariusLove: Thank you 🙂 It’s setting sol238a from MoissaniteCo- the only alteration I had was to request they smooth the knife edge a touch. It’s 14k white gold. My original setting was palladium (a bezel set solitaire- sol300a to be exact) and I hated the way it patinaed.

@xtinafig:  I love 5 stone rings, and I love solitaires so we have very similar taste. The other problem with putting a solitaire next to a band like that (besides proportion, which is really personal preference), is that the 5 stone may damage the setting of the engagement ring and chomp away at the prongs. I would be sure to try plenty of rings on and see if you like how they look and make sure they won’t damage one another.

Check out this post on PS all about Tiffany inspired rings and Tiffany replicas (http://www.pricescope.com/blog/tiffany-inspired-tiffany-setting-comparison). If you decide on moissanite, I’m sure you know Tiffany does not sell moissanite, so you will need to find a replica somewhere else. My favorites are the vatche u113 and the BGD Tiffany knife edge, which you can google and see examples of.
