Hi my fellow Bees, We are having a Tim Burton themed wedding. Our decor consists of Black glitter trees, Black tall candelabras with crystals and black baroque style pillar candles, black feathers galore and black & white striped ribbon. Our accent color is Eggplant purple, so I’m using some eggplant/plum high quality hydrangeas on 3 of the tables, but that’s pretty much it for flowers at this wedding. So now I have the problem of coming up with bouquets for my 7 bridesmaids and my bouquet. I’m getting mixed ideas from all the girls, some say dried florals like lavender and wild flowers and others say roses with black feathers and one said tulips in purple. Please help give me some opinions, as these are the only flowers that’ll be at the wedding. Even the guys are using feather boutinniers with a fiddlehead fern or two. Thanks for the help ladies 🙂
1. Lavender bouquet:
2. Rose with feather bouquet:
3. Eggplant calla lillies with feathers:
These are fiddleheads by the way 🙂

The eggplant calla lillies and feathers! If you could throw some fiddleheads in there too that would look fantastic 🙂 it’s very Tim Burton-y

This might be out there but what about doing dried roses in a deep color? If you dry them hanging upside down then they should still stay “up” well enough for a bouquet. I just thought it might go with the theme. I can’t wait to see how your wedding turns out 🙂

I love the eggplant calla lilies! So cool, I’m a huge tim burton fan!

I really like 2 and 3. But I finally voted 3 because it seemed more tim burton-y.

@Gingersnap: 100% agree. With the fiddleheads in there I think that it would look fantastic! So Burton.

I was also thinking that it may be a challenge to get tulips in October in Cali… but love that inspiration photo 🙂

Tim Burton’s athstetic to me has always seemed oddly architectual. Big swirls and crawling shapes. I vote Callas. They have a distinctive structural look. Can I throw a vote in for Spider Mums?
They’re feathery and spiky looking! Or even a metal mum?
You could do one each for the bridesmaids and use purple ribbon!
Globe thistle is rather Tim Burtonish as well.

@Gingersnap: I totally agree with you- the eggplant calla lilies with fiddleheads would be totally burton-esque. They would really tie the whole theme together.

Love your theme!! I love the callas and the tulips. There is actually a tulip that is called Queen of the Night. It is nearly black with purple undertones. There is also a frilled version called Black Parrot. Very surreal looking.

Black Parrot Tulip
I saw this bouquet and loved it! It would look amazing with the fiddle fronds. “Bridal bouquet of white and black anemone, black calla lilies, purple tulips and white parrot tulips. The bridal bouquet is hand tied with a layering of black and white ribbon.”

Tim Burton is all about the dramatic and I hink the calla lily and feather bouquet really fits his style. I also *love* that last bouquet ScottieLass just posted. The anemones are dead on too, and would lighten your bouquet up a little if you wanted but still fit the theme.

Callalilies look great. I would use the fiddleheads in there too.
