I love wedding bee it is so much better than any of the Australian Wedding Forums, However all you Bees are in Bed and it is only 10pm here in Adelaide. Are there any southern hemisphere bees out there?

lol I feel so stupid of course time zones dont work like that.

Um yeah planning is going ok, worried about how I am going to setup venue, as my venue ia a restaurant so wont be able to set it up the day b4 thinking I need a coordinator of the day but it doesn't seem to be as common in Aust. Are u living in Beijing? I went to China 10 years ago and loved it.

I'm about 8 hours NE of Beijing :)

Do you have a super organized not-super-close-friend or coworker you could ask to help you coordinate day of details? I can't really afford a DOC, so I'm going to try and talk my old high school BFF into doing it for me, setting up stuff, running point on schedules, etc. I know her well enough to know how anal she'll be (thus I won't need to stress) and trust her since I've known her forEVER and she'll know what would bother me and what wouldn't, but at the same time we've drifted apart over the years, so it's not like I'd ask her to be a BM or anything like that.

Else, how elaborate is your set up? Does the restaurant have someone who could do it for you? You could do a run through ahead of time with them to make sure they understand how you want everything to look!

ps - you could also TOTALLY be a trendsetter in Australia with DOCs :)

Well I am meeting with smeone from the restaurant on the weekened so hopefully we will come up with something, because I want quite ellaborate decorations and I am a very particular Virgo. I like the idea of utilising a friend but I cant really think of someone suitable.

girl, you've got like 11 more months to think about it :) before you NEED to get someone committed, haha.

I can't wait til I have a venue booked ~ I feel like things will just feel so much more directed then!

There seems to be a time (around 7-8pm my time/5-6 am EST) where it is basically daydream and I and maybe a few others.... and then suddenly everyone appears! Then I go bed, and when I wake up there are a thousand new threads to deal with before I go off to work in the morning.  It's interesting to see how time zones really play into posting trends.

haha, yep, Bamm is exactly right. Late afternoon I hit refresh and ... nothing changes. For like 2 hours. It's eeeeeearly morning in America, so no one is up yet. :)
