Started the nutrisystem diet on Monday and so far so good. I bought their kit from wal mart and so far I’ve only ate one thing I didn’t like 🙂 Now it’s time to get on the elliptical and shed some pounds before the wedding!

@chelseahurtado89: Can you tell us more? The system comes with food that you eat?

Yes it comes with breakfast lunch dinner and dessert and you add in fruits veggies and dairy……so far I like all the food but one thing in the 5 day kit, today was day 4

My DH and I were on Nutrisystem last year and did very well with it. I hope all goes well for you.

I didn’t know you could buy a “starter kit” at Walmart, that’s good to know. I was interested in trying nutrisystem but I didn’t want to commit to their whole program with the fear I might hate it.

I was on Nutrisystem for a month about three years ago. I lost 22 pounds– so you will lose weight.
I went off it because I started getting terrible headaches from that junk. (I think that’s the main reason I lost so much weight– the food is questionable and well, disgusting.
My husband tried one and commented that MREs he got in the Army tasted 1000% better than Nutrisystem food. Maybe they’ve changed up things now– I see they have a line of frozen foods now.
**I think my problem is that I’m a picky picky eater. And I don’t like processed foods. IF you can eat processed foods daily and rely on your microwave for every meal you can stick to this diet.

So you eat their food for whatever period of time and you lose the weight- and then you go back to eating regular food and what happens??
I’m a big fan of the eat healthy, whole food diet and go sweat your butt off at the gym.

I did nutrisystem a few years ago and lost 60 lbs really quickly. I stayed on it for just under 2 yrs. It worked awesome while I was on it, but I started getting tired of the food options because they rarely change up the options, and when they did, they got rid of my favorite 2 meals 🙁 Then I switched it up to their part-time plan (where you can eat your own meals for the weekends) but that didn’t last long before I was loathing the options because it felt like I was eating the same stuff day after day.
As soon as I stopped nutrisystem, I gained alllllllllllllllll my weight back plus an extra 20 lbs because it ultimately didn’t teach me anything about how to eat on my own. I was eating smaller meal portions than before, but I really hadn’t learned anything about what’s good for you, what’s good fuel for working out, what good fats are, what will keep you full for longer, etc. I hope it works out better for you than it did for me!
