    Hi Hive,

I'm trying to establish a timeline for my wedding this August. It's a 7 p.m. full Catholic nuptial mass followed by a four hour cocktail reception with stations and a full bar. Our nuptial mass will end by 8:30 p.m. and our reception site is only 4 minutes away from the wedding. We will be doing pictures before the ceremony.

Things I am trying to pin point:

    bridal brunch/luncheon

    hair and bridal beauty

    pictures beforehand

when to tell photographer to start pictures (we have a full day contract)

Also, for the reception, sinc it is not a sit down dinner:

    prayer

    toasts

    first dance

    mother/son/father/daughter dances

    bouquet toss

    garter toss

*technically we are going to have a dance contest and the best two will get the bouquet and garter with a bottle of champagne.

Most of my friends had shorter evening ceremonies or the Catholic afternoon mass followed by a big break and then cocktail hour and dinner/dancing so I'm struggling.

Miss Politico, did you decide on a timeline? My wedding is going to be almost exactly the same and I am also looking for timeline help! Catholic mass in the evening immediately followed by 4 hour reception with stations at a venue 5 minutes from the church!!

Hahaha - I can't wait to hear if someone has ANSWERS!  i'll be doing almost the same thing.  6pm ceremony, hopefully over by about 630, then to the reception at 7, cocktail hour until 8, then dinner and dancing until 12.
