I would go with the most time consuming and work around that first which is going to be your makeup. Also, how much time before the ceremony do you need to take pics with you, DH, siblings, WP and parents? That sounds like 2 hrs to me. So that would make starting pics at 9am. How many ppl are in your wedding party? Who all is getting makeup done. You need to be in the middle. For example, your mom and MOH need to go before you. Then its you, then BMs. DO NOT go last. If you guys end up running behind then the MUA would be rushing on your makeup and you DO NOT want that.

We’re having an 11:30 ceremony as well. Yay! My hair is long and thick, and my stylist suggested starting at 6AM so makeup and the rest of the girls have time to get their hair and makeup done as well. We’re not doing first look photos though. I’d ask your photographer how long they think they’ll need before the ceremony.

Our ceremony will be short, half hour or less. Doors for cocktail hour open at 12, food is served whenever we’re done with pics and we’re announced, about 12:45 or before (our photog is amazing and quick, looove him!). We’re only going til 4 because we’re having an awesome unofficial after party at an attached indoor water park that happens to have a bar.

ETA: Not sure if you wanted everything including out reception timeline, but there you have it. I don’t have a complete breakdown of “makeup at this time” since I’m still not sure if I’m doing my own or not. I have talked to a MUA and she asked what time the hair was being done and worked her time around that.

@Astra:  Is your hair and makeup being done at home or are you traveling for that? How many women are also having their hair and makeup done?

My wedding was at 11:30 am and I stayed at a hotel 10 minutes from the venue. My mom and my cousin (MOH) got ready with me. We started hair and make up at 7 am and left the hotel at 9:30 to get to the venue where I got dressed. I was ready before 11 to take pictures. This was all with one hairdresser and 1 make up artist.

I did hair and make-up from 7:15-9:15, at the church by 9:30, getting ready from 9:45 to 10:15, did my first look with my Dad, and walked down the aisle at 10:40!

So assuming you’re doing pictures first, I assume you’d want to start about the same time!

My ceremony is at 1230. First look photos for 11:30

hair and makeup is at my house starting at 8am. I only have myself, my daughter, and my mom for hair & makeup. 1 artist for both hair & makeup. She estimates 3 hours. my trial lasted an hour so I believe thats good if not generous timing.

my venue is also 10 minutes away.

I’m a June 2014 bride too (: Our wedding is going to be at 11am so I’ve been trying to figure out a timeline as well. I found this awesome spreadsheet from a practical wedding. I’m not sure if it’ll be helpful to you, but I thought it was a good guideline (:

If you scroll down there should be a link that says Day Of Timeline (DIY, Morning) and it gives you the option to open in Excel or Google.
