Hi all. I’m new to this planning and new to this site. Our wedding date is going to be 7/29/2016 which is a Friday. We are planning to be married and have our reception at the same location, Marjeane Caterers in Lansdale, PA. Including vendors, we will have a maximum of 75 guests. We have 15 children maximum attending, ages 2 to 15.
My dilemma is that while our reception is 5 hours, we only have a 1/2 hour for the ceremony. That being said, the FH has said he would prefer our reception be from 6-11pm and our ceremony at 4:00 or 4:30pm. Is that too late considering the kids will be in attendance? Also please keep in mind that the gap is so long since we do NOT want a first look, photo wise.
Any ideas or samples of your own timelines from like wake-up to end of reception? How much time should I allot for photos and getting ready, etc?
