What venue are you using?

We had an early June wedding (with almost half of our guests being from England).  Our timeline was this…

  • 5 – photos
  • 6:30 – ceremony
  • 7 – cocktail hour
  • 8 – dinner
  • 8:45 to midnight – reception

@J-Bride:  We’re having our wedding at Barr Mansion too! Although in October. Here’s our timeline

4p: Arrive at Barr Mansion

5:30p: First Look photos

6p: Ceremony

6:30p: Cocktail Hour

7:00p: Dinner

7:45-10p: Reception

10p-?: Shuttling guests from Barr to after party..most likely a low key bar like Dog and Duck


We had thought about extending our reception until 11p but the venue suggested a 10p end time because they said by that time guests are usually itching for a new location. We’ll see though I would hate to end it early if everyone is having a good time where they are, we can always add the extra hour later. We’re meeting with the folks at Barr again in 2 weeks so our timeline might change slightly.
