Mine isn’t tennis so much as soccer? no I don’t think that fits lol. What’s an ability for something that just gets further away as you approach it? Haha.

First one was by Spring 2014. Which we picked in January of 2013. 2013 was ending and talk stopped about it so I brought it up. He was vague over it for a little bit. Then said July/August 2014, with a possibility of early 2015. Then his sis for engaged and moved her wedding up so now it is earliest October 2014, but he talks like it’s more like March/April 2015.

There are so many numbers involved I just don’t even know which one to lean towards anymore lol.

@ashleykaye:  I know just what you mean about timeline tennis! My little story: My lovely SO and I had originally (tentatively) agreed on a timeline of October 2014 as a potential wedding date. When September 2013 rolled around and he hadn’t yet proposed, I gently reminded him that we would need about a year to plan the wedding, and that he would want to propose soon if we would make that timeline.

October 13 rolled around and no proposal. No problem, I figured it would come with the holidays. Nope on that either. In October I asked him where he saw himself in six months…he said engaged and planning our wedding. Exciting, right? Except, April will be six months, and unless he’s very sneaky, he’s not making any progress.

Then he started talking about selling his house that’s in another city, and us buying one together at the end of the year. Which is awesome, except I don’t want to buy a house with someone unless we are at least engaged. So…now timeline is ??/??/????. Haha. Ah well, I’m not worrying about it. He’ll propose when he’s ready and if he’s not ready by the end of the year…we’ll have another chat.

@ashleykaye:  Oh I definitely have my insane moments! I just do them in my head and smile and nod whenever he brings up wedding stuff, haha. I know I want to be with him forever, ring or no ring. I’m pretty sure he has a plan and I know he wants to marry me so…I trust him 🙂
