I’m in the process of booking a shuttle to transport people between the closest town and our wedding and reception venue, and feel a bit clueless. For brides and brides-to-be that have gone with shuttle services, how long did you book the shuttle for? Did you book for the whole day or just before and after the wedding? I am thinking of going the second option, but want to know if this has worked for others. If the wedding is from 4 PM-12 AM, is shuttle service from 2-4 and 10-12 sufficient in your opinion?

We didn’t do a night shuttle, but we had one to bring guests into downtown for the ceremony and then back to the reception. I thought I had allotted more than enough time for the shuttle to the ceremony, but because the driver got lost they arrived only about 3 minutes before our ceremony start time. I thought they’d have more like 20 minutes to get seated. So based ok my experience, make sure you have more time than you think you’ll need for travel in case there are any problems.

Pinkmoon: Ah, great to know! I’ll be sure to factor some extra time in. The wedding venue is only about 15 minutes top from town and it’s a fairly easy route, so hopefully there will be more than enough time.

snowbeastly: I plan to do the same, from a local hotel to the venue and then back again. Plan to have shuttle 3:15-4:45 (ceremony at 5)…then back starting at 10:30-12:30 or something to that effect. The hotel is close to the venue but would rather have everyone safely brought to and from.
