Tinted moisturizers are similar to makeup.  It washes off when you wash your face and can be used instead of foundation if you want a light makeup for the day.

I think you may be referring to moisturizer with self tanner.  These can be used to gradually tan your skin, but there have been orange palms and spotty skins all around.  Other than that I have no mroe info since I only used it a few times and did not like the results.

Do you mean the gradual self tanning moisturizers, or just standard self tanners? I’ve had success with Victoria’s Secret tanning lotion. I like that it’s very tinted, so you can see where you’re applying. I think this would be particularly helpful if you’re trying to even out tan lines, because you can concentrate on the un tanned areas. I always exfoliate in the shower first (I just use baking soda), and massage vaseline into dry areas (like heels, elbows, etc) after I get out of the shower. I like to massage it in with a thick sock over my hand, because that keeps you from getting streaks from fingers and also keeps your hands clean, so you don’t end up with orange hands. When I’m finished with my face & body, I take off the sock, wash my hands, and apply a little bit to the top of my hands. I blend that with a stiff, flat topped makeup brush. I also buff out any areas that look like they might be streaky. Hope This Helps.
