Okay I just got back from my lunchbreak. While on lunch I decided to get an eyebrow wax because I had been needing one... my eyebrows are pretty light (I'm a strawberry blonde) but I like to maintain a nice shape to them.

The lady totally took all my hair off! I mean... I have a tiny pencil line for eyebrows now! I am so upset I want to cry... they look so weird!

Because I have light hair, I want to have them as thick as possible... I can't stand looking in the mirror right now!

Anyone had this happen to you? How did you fix it!? Luckily I have a few months to grow them for the wedding, but I am so MAD!

Ugh, that stinks! Can you pencil some in very lightly while they are growing back in? Don't worry, in a few weeks they will be back to normal.

Does anyone have recommendations for pencils to use for making them look thicker? I am bad with make up :(

That is the worst!  It has happened to me too, and I just used an eyebrow pencil until they brows grew in.  It only took about 3 weeks.  As for an eyebrow pencil, I use one by Lancome.  You could also try a Sephora if there is one near you.  Good luck with the growing out process!

the best way to disguise them is by using a matte shadow thats close to the hair color. I would buy and eyebrow kit, they have them at any makeup counter, and shadow most of them in so they dont look too harsh with the pencil.

Yeah use a light colored pencil. I use a blonde colored one from Clinique--it's extra thin and tiny and very waxy so it stays on a million times better than the shadow kits i've tried or traditional eyeliner.

I actually have a spot on my eyebrow where NO HAIR GROWS. It's weird as hell and I've been filling mine in for years

    Ugh that is horrible!

I am with you - I also have non-existent blonde eyebrows but I colour them in as my regular make-up anyway!

One time the lady took too much off the end of one and I was pissed.

Take a light brown sharp pencil and colour them in against the hair grain in small quick hair thin strokes and then even it out with an eyebrow brush. It takes a bit of practice but you will get the hang of it to make it look natural.

Yup happened to me. Now they are finally starting to fill back in. In the meantime I went to MAC and the girls their helped me find an eyebrow filler best suited for me.

The trick with the eyebrow pencil is to make short strokes so it looks like hair as opposed to long lines. I had trouble with the shadows, but pencil in the right color is as easy as applying mascara! Sorry this happened to you!

Hm... maybe I will make a trip to Sephora and have someone there show me how to do it. These women that do eyebrows should be much more considerate of what their client requests and not what they think is stylish or attractive.

I love getting them waxed but this makes me apprehensive about going again!

Thank you for the ideas and help... I'll have to check out that pencil! And who knows, maybe my brows will look even better than before ;)

artsprout- absolutely! Once, when I was in college, I decided to pluck my eyebrows (this was new for me). The lighting in my dorm room was really bad and was appalled to find out when I headed to the bathroom to wash my face that I had very nearly plucked out my entire brows!

Definitely hit up Sephora- one of the girls there introduced me to my new favorite brow makeup last time- it's by Smashbox and it's called Brow Tech. I use a slanted eye makeup brush and got some of the Sephora brush cleaner so I just put on some of the powder to fill in my brows, spritz the cleaner on and wipe the brush, then use the sealing wax and your brows are good to go!

Not to scare you but I had my eyebrows waxed for the first time when I was around 20.  I am now 26 and have never had to go in for another waxing.  Occasionally I pluck a few here and there but not often.  I also somehow lost half of the length of my right eyebrow and I have to pencil it in now :S  Hopefully you won't have my problem.
