I didn't tip the bartender or the servers. They were all part of the catering company. The caterer charged a service charge and that should have included the tips for all of those people.
Call the vendor and ask him about what constitutes the "gratuity" in the contract. That is the only way to know for sure if you have to tip him.

We were having a discussion on tipping today. when you pay gratuity for your wedding does that include the bartender? Others were commenting that they tip the bartenders at wedding, and I thought that was strange. If I don't tip my server at a wedding why would I tip the bartender? you comments please
