I've read that normally, you don't tip the photographer, but I think you should definitely tip her at leat $200, especially since she's covering her own travel expenses.
That is so cool that you won a photographer!! CAn I ask how? Ours was our biggest expense and I would've loved to win that prize!!
Is a post that might help:

I would give her 10% at least of what she would have charged for everything you got.
I'd say you should tip her. Running her business is expensive, and on top of the travel costs. Does she have any other reason to go to N.Y.(family) or is she just coming for your wedding?
Congrats on winning her service! It is optional to tip, but I would if you feel she does a good job.
New question, when should I give her the tip? In a card the day of? After we get the prrofs? That's my thought, but I'm new at these things.
I don't know where I saw the intial post, I think it was on a wedding blog somewhere. The jist of the giveaway was writing about facing economic hardship. My FI and I had been long distance due to our inabilities to change jobs in the job market, as well as my dad being unemployed for a while and my FI's parents running a diary farm and basically loosing about $200 a day just by continuing to operate the farm. Neither of our parents are able to really contribute to our wedding financially and professional photography was one of the things we were going to do without for our wedding due to budget contstraints. I had forgotten about the entire thing when I got the email stating we had won. I don't feel like we fully deserve it, seeing as how even though long distance, FI and I were both employed and able to pay our bills. But I'm ecstatic and in LOVE with her work! I can't wait to meet her and see the beautiful pictures of our wedding!

Ok, so by some miracle I won a free photography package from Natalie Williams!!!! (www.nataliewilliamsphotographer.com) I love her work and can't believe my luck! The package includes the days worth of shooting, proof book, digital copies and the rights to reproduce, plus an album. She's covering all travel expenses as well (CA to NY).
I guess you typically wouldn't be tipping a photographer (according to other posts I read on the matter) but I feel wrong not doing something and us literally getting everything for free. I'm already planning to purchase additional albums for our parents from her, and to offer our guests to purchase prints directly from her as well, to support her business. But should I tip her as well? And how much would I tip? I want to thank her and support her business, but I'm not sure how to do so.
