Hi Ladies -

I've looked through a lot of posts on tipping vendors, and one question that I still have:

I am having two photographers at my wedding, and they are bringing an assistant. All 3 will be fed the same meal as the guests (as stipulated in their contracts). The two photographers own their business.

I've read where people just tip the photographer's assistant, but not the photographer if they own their own business...I guess I feel weird tipping the assistant but not the other two?

What do you guys recommend? Any specific amount? Should we do all 3 lumped together for them to dole out, or just the assistant?

Hmm...honestly, I don't know. How well do you know your photographers? I've gotten to know our caterer fairly well, so we're just going to ask him what people usually do with respect to tipping the bartender and wait staff we've also hired thru him. Maybe you can ask your photographer? Obviously, if you don't know him/her well though, it would be awkward to ask about tipping if you aren't tipping them. Hopefully, someone else will have a better answer! :)
