A guest is paying for our DJ as our wedding present. Do I tip the DJ? or does the person who is gifting him to us do that?
The lady doing my hair is doing it as a gift to me. Is it rude to tip her?
The bakery is gifting us our wedding cake, do we tip them?

I really don’t know, but wanted to say those are awesome people to gift you that stuff!

@JoCoJenn: I know, I feel very fortunate that they are being so kind to us… which is why I want to thank them appropriately.

- Wedding: October 2014 - Greenbrier Country Club
DJ: I’d say that if your friend is paying, they would prob tip (I would) but you can always ask your friend to make sure.If they are not, then you should.
Hair: How close are you to her? if really close, I would give a small gift. If not close at all, I’d tip. She would get a thank you card either way.
Cake: Thank you card (no tip necessary)

Ok, thank you. The lady doing my hair has known me since a kid, so I guess kind of close.

@vanike: You’ve got some awesome people in your life!! I think the tipping rule still applies in this case as well…if they own their own business, a tip is not necessary, but for instance if the hair dresser rents out her station from the shop she works at, tip her.
