Which vendors do you plan to tip?

I know I want to tip the girls that will be doing hair and make up and the limo driver, but I am really having a hard time wanting to tip anyone else since everything is marked up so much for weddings.

Our venue, for example, is costing us $8,000 because we are having it on a Saturday... Other days/times of the year are a third of the price... I feel like that is tip enough :)

Anyone else feel the same way?

I get it, but it still has to be done.

Thank goodness gratuities are already included in the cost of my venue. That would just have me freaking out.

Relucantly I am tipping the photographer, DJ, florist, limo driver, and not reluctantly the hair & make up lady.

I read somewhere that if the photographer owns the business then a bigger tip is not necessary. Is this true?

limo and hair salon.  No one else deserved a tip or they already had the tip built in (like the caterer, for instance with service charges).

I'm so glad I live in Australia, we don't tip here. Ever.

We plan on tipping the DJ, the banquet manager and the officiant.  The photographer and videographer own their businesses so there's not reason for tipping them, they're pocketing the huge amount I will have already given them.  And an 18% service charge is included in the final bill for the venue so I don't even think about that.

thank God, our venue has gratuity added in already...

we will be tipping our hair/makeup ppl, limo driver

(officiant, videographer, and dj - we are gifting because they are close family friends)

photogs and florist already in our costs.

    i think that's it...

Thanks for the responses!!  I'm going to take a long look over our contracts today to see if tips are built in...  I know that our DJ adds his gratuity in for the evening, but I think our caterer and venue only add a "service charge" which covers the cost of their employees...

I'm still leaning towards photog, limo and hair/makeup......
