First of all dont be nervous… it will show. trust me… make sure you tell the photographer that you want both candid and more posy ( pretending not to but you are ) pictures.. so you can have a variaty… make sure you both match! we had two change of outfits. I’d say do your makeup not as a normal day, a little more glam.. and with what type of hair style do you feel more flirty or does your FI like best?   a lot of people go with a theme ex: country/rustic….

@Cantstartafire1:  I would say the less is more approach as far as hair and make-up.  I typicaly don’t wear much make-up and I don’t ever ‘do’ anything to my hair except blow dry it with a round brush.  I can’t post  a personal link on here, but I can PM you the link to mine – I think they turned out fine with hardly any make (literally just mascara) and nothing special done to my hair.  I also did  couple of outfit changes, but they were all things I would typically wear, nothing over the top.

If you don’t know what to do in the hair/makeup category, it’s worth it to pay someone to save you the trouble and stress…after all, that wear and tear from fighting with your hair and agonizing over your makeup will follow you in front of the camera….there’s a very delicate and intimate dance between a subject and the camera…if you’ve got a photographer you like, it helps all the more, because honestly, a great photo looks effortless and feels almost awkward or exposed…to me at least it does….so having someone that makes that feeling tolerable, can really get amazing shots of you….don’t be afraid to take a pose or make an expression that feels unnatural, your photographer will tell you what to do, and what’s working, but the more you give them, they more they have to work with.

So be bold, be yourself and let your light shine!
