Tips for Honeymoon

posted 6 months ago in Honeymoons

We are going to Mexico for our Honeymoon in November.  Does anyone have any idea what the weather will be like and if we should consider paying for snorkeling excursions or if the water may be too cold?  We are going to be near Playa De Carmen.  Any tips you may have as to must see/do activities would be awesome too! TIA!

I have no tips for you, but check out TripAdvisor forums. They will have one specific to Playa De Carmen.  Search the forums before you ask your question, in case it's already been covered ten million times.  (people get tired of aswering the same questions over and over).

I am going to Punta Cana and have learned so much about my hotel and the area, that when I get there it will be like dejavue (sp)

We are going to Cozumel for ours in September which is close to Playa del Carmen. I am planning on taking a snorkeling, kayaking tour. I want to do the Mayan Zipline through the jungle so bad along with visiting some of the mayan ruins. We are also taking either an ATV or a Jeep tour through the jungle which looks to be lots of fun. I have a friend who are honeymooning in Playa del Carmen in late June so maybe they will have some tips on things to do. I have no idea about the water temperature but I'm sure you can find it somewhere on the internet, lol. Good luck! I search Tripadvisor.com alot especially about the hotel and some of the tours in the area. They always have good info.

I was in Cozumel a few years ago around Thanksgiving and the water was fine for snorkeling. It's colder than usual, but totally doable. Have fun! Snorkeling/SCUBA is my fave thing to do in that area.

Check out www.playa.info. We went to Playa last April, and got a lot of great info from that site--it's run by locals. We also booked an excursion to Tulum through them, called Tulum and Beyond, which was probably the best day of our trip. We went out on the Fat Cat catamaran, and that was a blast too. Have fun--I can't wait to go back some day!
