I wear the highest SPF possible and reapply every 2-3 hours. I don't burn anymore.
Haha.I don't know about you but for me whatever that first tan line I get. That's IT. That tan line will stay with me the whole summer no matter how long I tan afterward. Last year it was when we were in Chicago I bought a swimsuit last minute at Macys that was strapless but had one of those keyhole backs. Yup. I had a perpetual key hole white spot on my back ALLL summer and into fall.So my plan is once it's warm enough I'm going to sit out in my backyard (with sunscreen of course!) with a bandeau and tan away...
I guess as absolute last resort you can always go tanning?
We are heading to Panama next weekend, where it is 90 degrees (woohoo!) I have GOT to make sure I don't have halter strap tanlines!!! My dress has cap sleeves and I'm afraid between those and the tan lines (mine never fade either) I'll look...strappy. I'm too busty for a bandeau...not sure what to do.
HAHA I'm sorry, but that title just made me laugh. I have the same issue too. I think you just need to be diligent about applying and covering everything and on a regular basis as it rubs off, sweats off, etc. I guess if all else fails, if it's getting close to the wedding and need to do something about a line, get a spray tan? But not too close to the wedding, want to make sure it doesn't look too fake or orangey--eww. I know a girl who looked like an orange alien on her day and it was horrible.
i'm worried about that same thing! I was thinking I should have planned my wedding in the spring before tan lines are an issue.
I'm going to try to wear long sleeves during the summer........but since that probably won't las much past april.......I'm also going to be carrying some SPF in my purse.

What do you think is my best defense against farmer tan?
I'll be out a lot in the summer with my babysitting job and I love to wear t-shirts. Last year I know I put on sun block most days, but I still ended up with a major farmer arm tanline, which will make my strapless dress look comedic. I've got fair skin and I'm concerned...any tips?
