ellagrace:  I am with you there! I’ve also been channeling my energy into work and working out. My SO and I have joined this crossfit type gym together and it has literally been kicking my butt! By the time I am done I am so exhausted I can’t even worry about the fact that I’m waiting.

Other things I have been doing is planning every facet of our vacation which is coming up in 3 weeks as well as other trips we have planned like going to meet his best friend in Pittsburgh. These things are surely distracting but it’s also hard when you start thinking “Wow, Cosumel would be a great place for a proposal!”

Just concentrate on you and try not to get overwhelmed by our fantastical imaginations! Just remember a watched pot never boils and it will come sooner than you think! 🙂

I think distraction is key. When you find yourself obsessing about proposal/wedding/relationship, acknowldge the thoughts and then try to put them out of your mind by thinking about something else. Call a friend and ask about how their life is going. Start a project – put together that photo album that you’ve been meaning to make, or organize  that trip you’ve been dreaming about, or whatever. Just don’t let your mind keep turning over and over about the same things!

I distract myself with Bee’s as of late… although it probably isn’t helping!

I am assuming I’ll be waiting another 6 months for the proposal although we talked about getting married end of next year. It’s both of our second marriages so its all sort of logistial rather than romance when it comes to talking about our future.

I have 5 more weddings to attend this year, so I’m focusing on their big days but I feel like by the end of this year there wont be much containing my anticipation!!

ellagrace:  I got the waiting fever last Fall and honestly was getting a little crazy. I had to take a bit of a break from Pinterest and the Bee. It helped 🙂 Now I feel like I can surf the Bee with more calm.

It helps that I know he’s working on the ring and I feel a proposal will happen for me soon. BUT even before that, I stopped and started to think of all the reasons I wanted to marry this amazing guy in the first place. Slowly I started to live in the moment and just be happy together. We’re happier for it 🙂

i personally dont think that scrap books are “distracting”, but a great way to give him a push. I think when my BF saw all the old pictures that I got printed out right before our anniversay of all the pictures we had since we’ve been togeather five years really made him THINK.

still waitingg for a ring…
