You can take an asian specific class at a Mac Store (not the mac counter at a department store) If you are worried about your face looking shiny...get a good chammomile mask and use it once a week, and the day before your wedding. Just dont try anything new 2 weeks before your wedding...and I mean NOTHING!
Where do you live? If you live near a MAC store see if they will let you register, some classes are for Professionals only, if you find a class and they wont let you in you can use my number. So call first! (lest they recognise you) But what city are you in?
Hello again! I believe there is a MAC store in the Short Hills Mall (NJ), which is right by me.
I actually wear makeup on a daily basis, so I'm used to doing it myself. I just want a lil P-O-W for the big day!
For asian brides I make sure to use the E3 technique when it comes to contouring.
:E3:
Use bronzer with an angel blusher brush and sweep from the temple >> to under your cheek bone >> to your jawline to create an "E" with the left side of your face and a "3" with the right. (=.=;;; i guess if you're doing it to yourself, it's the other way around)
:HIGHLIGHT:
You can use a specific highlighting powder like the PRESCRIPTIVE MAGIC POWDER or a sheer shimmery eye shadow to highlight the following:
- bridge of nose
- above your cheek bone
- above your eyebrow (only the 1st half of it... the part closer to the middle of your face)
- under your eyebrow
- and chin
and VOILA!!! HOLLYWOOD CELEB TRICKS revealed to the everyday girl~~~~~
good luck~ and hope this was helpful see below for some inspirations
Have you tried contacting weddingbeepro Laura Nadeau? She probably has a lot of good tips to share!
I'm sticking to a simple, romantic look. There isn't many Asians in my town and I don't trust make-up artists that haven't worked with Asian eyes (I've been burnt before and I'm not about to gamble on it). I'm going to do my own make-up, I found a video that'll be my base:

Does anyone have inspirational makeup pics? I'd love to see them. Here are some that I found online. I'm not sure which look I like the most...
I love the first one! it's so cute, esp the cat eye...gives a bit of oomph & glamour for the wedding day!

Hello! I've already hired and given the deposit to a makeup artist. The reason I hired her was because she was able to keep my face from getting too shiny after the first trial... but after our second trial, I think I'm going to be doing most of the eyeshadow/contouring on my own.
Any advice on colors and/or techniques? I'd really appreciate it!
