some background: I have a deviated septum. I have one big nostril and one tinie, tiny one. Anytime I get sick I hope for the stuffy nose to take up house in the little nostril so I can still breathe. Well now that I’m pregnant I seem to have a permanent stuffy nose…..in my big nostril. So now I can’t breathe.
Can anyone help me? Please give me some remedies!

man, my last cold was HORRIBLE…I tried EVERYTHING!
I tried: hot showers, steaming pots of water, breathe right, hot tea, gargline salt water, saline spray first…then resorted to afrin (3 day limit I htink) then sudafed…what probably worked best was the nasal wash…yes, the one in those big bottles where you mix the packages into warm water. I didn’t use it the whole time, but I did find I had to be cleared out a little first to get the full benefit. My bottle said right on it that it was safe during pregnancy. I’m sure you know, that is rare on ANY drug, even the ones OB’s all agree are OK! I hope something gives you some relief! (BTW, I did see my dr, and some of her advice was based on the # of weeks I was pregnant, so you should try to call, especially before using Afrin.)

I was stuffed up right up until I gave birth. Plus my ears would plug up and it was like I had water in my ears. I wish I had a remedy, but I was honestly stuffed up no matter what I tried! I would just sleep on the tiny nostil side to let gravity take all the mucus to the side you want.
