I believe that it is that you’re getting ready to. I think the heaviest day is an indicator that you’ll probably ovulate the next day.

That’s just a tidbit that’s stuck in my brain, so I’m not 100% sure, but I must’ve read it somewhere at some point!

I’ve always thought that your mucus thins when you ovulate because thick mucus inhibits the sperm reaching your cervix.  I could be wrong, but that’s what I’ve always understood.

@piglet_625: EWCM is not thick mucous though, it is actually your fertile mucous and sperm thrive in it! 🙂

@twocatcupcake: Are you using OPKs? When I get my EWCM it is usually the day before and day of ovulation. Sometimes people do have it right before hand for a few days but this is your fertile time and is a sign you need to get busy. It is always better to do the deed before rather than after ovulation.

yeah, it’s a sign that you’re about to ovulate very soon.but once you see it, that’s a good time to have sex cause sperm can live for up to a few days up there. good luck!

@twocatcupcake: Girl get busy tonight if you can! I know sperm can live in you for a few days, but sometimes the fresher ones swim better and faster than those that have been floating for a few days. 🙂 Good luck!

@twocatcupcake:You actually have a fertile week. Most online ovulation predictors show you your predicted O date but those 5-7 days are actually your fertile days and the time when you need to be at it. You are giving yourself more of chance than just doing one time on your projected day. Remember not everyone ovulates 14 days from the start of the period. I highly recommend you use OPKs that show when you do in fact get the LH surge and your probable ovulation. Good luck!
