Yes, everytime.  I’ve never actually bought a test because of this but I’ve come very close.

I’m on the pill too, and mine always comes by Wednesday. Even Wednesday is usually pushing it. It’s come on Thursday or even Friday a couple of times, and it always makes me so nervous. I wants kids, but now is really not the time (and I could never abort).

I ALWAYS worry. But I’m not on birth control anymore, I only use condoms. When I was on BC I still worried, but periods didn’t usually come late.

I worry all the time. I’m not on BC, but we use condoms. My period rarely comes at the same time every month.. It’s usually within 2-3 days of when it “should” start. I know people say don’t have sex if you don’t want kids, but I’d really rather not have them for a few more years. It wouldn’t be disastrous… Just not preferable.

I was never sexually active and not on the pill. On the pill my period came tuesday or Wednesday always so I never worried about it.  I was in general pretty paranoid about getting pregnant and used the pill and condoms with every guy I was with and with DH for about a year.

Now we’re TTC so I would flip out in a good way if my period were late. It was actually early last month and I was disappointed. It’s a big change in thinking!

Nope, because most people shouldn’t be getting a period while on the pill, that’s one of the main reasons to take it.

@AB Bride:  most pills still give you a “period,” even though it’s technically withdrawal bleeding. Very few pills actually take away your period entirely.

OP, my BCP does make my period nonexistent and I freak myself out almost every other month and take a pregnancy test. We do not want kids anytime soon, so I am always very sure to take my pill on time every day.

@Lana_Rose:  A withdrawal bleed is not a period.  Since I’m not getting a real period I don’t worry about it being late.

@AB Bride:  yes but if you somehow got pregnant while on your pill, you wouldn’t have withdrawal bleeding either. If you usually do, not having any could be a sign of pregnancy.

@Lana_Rose:  Does that mean I’m not entitled to my own personal feelings?  I answered the OPs question along with why.  I don’t see the issue with that.

@lawyerchick13:  I skipped a period for TWO MONTHS once. It was tramatic how much panicing there was in that time. I took several pregnancy tests, all negative. Had a blood test just in case, negative.

Here’s the kicker: I was still (technically) a virgin. FI and I hadn’t even had sex yet! I was convinced that somehow when he came after giving him a bj or hj, sperm magically got into my vagina by either landing there or getting on his hands before he touched me and swimming for my uterus. Yea…I was freaking out.

I’m on the pill now though and loving being regular. And FI and I are sadly not having sex very often (both had to move in with our respective parents), so even if I am late, it’s just like, “Well…we haven’t had sex since my last period, so I don’t think that’s the problem.” I haven’t panicked as bad as that one time since getting on the pill.

I freak out when it’s late but then when it comes I get sad 🙁 I’m on the pill but my maternal desire is in overdrive.
