It could be an odd cycle, since it’s your first one off the pill. My first one after being off was definitely different from what it normally was while taking BC. Are you wondering if you are pregnant?

When I first went off the pill my period was a hot mess. Id get three light days then a full on period two weeks later.. So strange.. Give it a couple months for your body to adjust

@Mrs.H2B:  It could very well be a short cycle. I highly recommend charting to track your cycles and know if you really ovulated on any given cycle. Good luck!

@Mrs.H2B:  I recommend tracking no matter what (I track and I’m not TTC), as it’s good to know how your cycle works, and more data can only help. If I had to guess, based on my experience going off the pill, I would say it’s an irregular period.

I know everyone is different, and it also depends how long you were on the pill for. I was on the pill for about 2.5-3 years, and when I stopped taking it, it took a year for my period to stabalize. I had some short cycles, some very long cycles, and skipped cycles all in that period. My first cycle was relatively normal (doctor explained that the hormones were still in my system), but after that it went completely haywire. Good luck!

My period has been very light since coming off the BCP.  I’d consider a steady flow the start of a new cycle, as long as its heavy enough for a pad/tampon. 24 days is on the shorter side, but definitely not too short!
