Today I got poo in my vag and the area around it.  I've cleaned everything up except inside the vag itself because I can't get it 100% clean.  So I was thinking of doing a Summers Eve box to get everything out.  My thinking was that it would flush everything out.  I've heard you can get an infection if you don't wipe front to back so this has me worried and I can't go to the doctor.  It burns- not as bad as it did in the beginning but still...

Sorry this is so gross but advice is greatly appreciated!

I would douche. It should help clean you out really good.

I've never douched, so I can't say about that, but I would take a bath to rinse out more completely.  Also, drink lots of liquids and keep peeing - that can help get rid of any bacteria!

Don't douche- it could push it in further and cause you even more problems.  As long as you bathed you should be fine.

I've never used one either but I've heard all the reasons why you shouldn't use them and one big one is because you naturally self clean so you don't need to douche.

I've washed and washed but there is still some inside unfortunately.

It's not the vagina that is the problem but the urethra. Drink TONS of water and pee a LOT.

You are probably going to get a urinary tract infection, in which case you WILL need an antibiotic because you will be in pain.

Get some FRAGRANCE FREE baby wash NOT regular soap baby wash and use it to wash up everything for the next few days. This will help with irritation and any sensitivities, the infections that can pop up are (I believe) yeast infections, UTI etc. Maybe get some acidophilus pills and take a yogurt bath (those help with yeast infections). As for the UTI you can get over the counter stuff for that as well so just watch yourself and if you start showing symptoms head to CVS. Even if you get something it's not really anything other than an inconvenience.

Drink lots of cranberry juice. That helps prevent any bacteria from sticking to the insides of your bladder and will prevent a UTI.

I agree, do cranberry juice and lots of water and if you like it, yogurt.  They will combat a UTI, which is what you could get.

@menobride- yes it's the urethra as well...I'm just more worried about the vag.

    sorry heather :(  ((HUGS))  Embarassed

@Cricket-  thanks for the tip on the baby wash.  I washed with regular stuff so maybe that's partly to blame for the burning.

Can I mix the cranberry juice with vodka?  LOL  :) I like things with cranberry's but not the juice, oh well I will be sucking it up!

I'll be picking up some acidophilus pills, cranberry juice, plain yogurt and the baby wash from the store tonight.  This irritates the tar out of me...I've never had a UTI or a yeast infection.

Hey, I bet its just the wash you used to clean it is what is making you burn. I honeslty wouldnt be too concerned, as long as you wash, take a bath and just relax. Just think, remember when maxi pads were the only thing around and you just had to chill in your blood until you could change it?? a little poop cant be too much different. And besides, if it were a serious issue, babies and elderly alike would be in alot worse shape.  I say you have nothing to worry about, but you can still drink that vodka if you like ;)

I've taken cranberry pills for my UTI in the past..and it worked great! It's alot easier than drinking the actual juice

Don't have any advice for cleaning it up, but as far as preventing a UTI take a trip to the groccery store and get some cranberry vitamins and keffir (similar to yogurt, but it has tons of probriotics, which is what you need!)  Don't drink cranberry juice because it has tons of sugar, which is actually worse for a possible infection.  You can however drink cranberry juice if you get unsweetened cranberry juice, but heads up it taste really REALLY gross!  And of course, as others have head, drink lots of water to flush out any possible infection.

I've heard a bath with some baking soda in it is good for possible infection, but I don't remember where or how much to add to the bath.

Yeah I'm guessing that it is probably a urinary tract problem.  Drink only unsweeted cranberry juice and lots of fluids to try and flush it out.  You should also wash with a non scented product since your regular body wash could be causing some problems.

Wow, I've never had this happen to me. It sounds aweful. Being a morbidly curious person, I just have to ask how...?

I totally understand if you don't feel comfortable answering, but I had to ask.

I agree with the others: hot bath+cranberry juice. Makes sure it's not cranberry juice cocktail, you want it to be 100% juice. You can also get cranberry pills that are supposed to be as effective. Cranberry juice won't prevent a vaginal infection - though I doubt you need to worry much about that - but they may help prevent a UTI. If you do have symptoms of UTI, be sure you get to a doctor ASAP. A UTI can turn very bad, very fast, so you'll want to get started on antibiotics ASAP. Good luck!

I missed the part of the unsweetened juice- I've made my way through 2 jugs of 100% juice with no sugar added since Friday plus water and the cranberry pills.  I no longer burn anywhere and feel normal.

@blackcherry- I was on my way home and before I could get the thought out that I needed to go to the bathroom (all of a sudden at that + I was in an area with no place to stop) it happened :(  I didn't eat anything out of the norm for breakfast so it wasn't expected.

the doctor told me that cranberry juice actauly doesnt work and can make a uti worse and irritate your bladder since its acidic (anything acicdic can affect your bladder)
