I do. I just trim the string so it doesn’t pop out of my swim suit. I don’t think the brand matters, I’ve used all different ones and none ever leaked or anything. If you’re worried about it you can always use the Instead Cup rather than a tampon. It’s a flexible rubber gasket that holds the blood inside until you take it out.

Yes I swim with them in all the time. Tampax or store brand similar to tampax

Yep, trim the tail. I swear by Tampax Pearl. They’re all I use.

Yes I swim with them in!  I just tuck the string along my bum crack so it is not going to dangle out of my bottoms (sorry if that is TMI, but I felt it was necessary to help others avoid that problem haha).

I like Tampax Compak Pearl personally.  I can use pretty much any tampon though, so for me it comes down to which applicator (or lack there of) that I like and that they don’t leak on me.  I have also heard that the new line called “U” (or similar to that…) from Kotex is also good.

OB are the best, but they cost a little more.  I think they are better for you too.

I use playtex slim fits and sometimes regular tampax w/ the plastic applicator (pearl).  I hate wearing tampons, seriously.  They hurt every time I wear them, so uncomfortable and it seems like whenever I wear them I’m having a light day or don’t wear them long enough so it kills to remove them.  I only wear them when I absolutely have to–swimming and when I played competitive tennis.

EDIT: Let me reassure you, most if not all women have no trouble with tampons.  I’m just picky.  The tampons I use are great, it’s just me.

Yep, I’m a swimmer, too. 🙂 I use Tampax with the cardboard applicator. I don’t think any of them are better than others, though. It’s just personal preference. Applicator? No applicator? Plastic applicator? Cardboard applicator? 😉

I swear by Tampax Pearl. I think the braided string helps with leakage issues.

I use Kotex. I’ve actually never met anyone else who used them – most of my friends use Playtex. Kotex are longer and stay in place a lot better for me – the others all shift downward and leak when they need to be changed; Kotex has never leaked or shifted for me (even right before needing to be changed). BUT I’ve never heard anyone else have a similar problem, so I may have an oddly shaped body, who knows, haha…

ETA: And yes, I swim with them, no problem. I also do the string-in-the-butt-crack thing, hahahaha…… I’m so glad I’m not the only one!

@ddw:  Hahaha!  You are certainly not the only one!  All the girls I know do that.  Even if you aren’t swimming it prevents you from peeing on the string when you go to the bathroom haha!

No, I don’t swim with a tampon.

I don’t like the idea of it apsorbing the micro-organisms & bacteria in the lake (and it being inside me. ew.)

I swim with my lunette.
