I personally would not be okay with being on my dot on my wedding day. Maybe do one month of Nuva Ring or some  form of hormonal BC to avoid your period?

That was one thing I didn’t want to worry about so, so I just skipped my ‘skip’ week on my BC pills and started a new pack all was well with the world. Though check with your doctor to make sure they are okay with that if you are on BC.

I made sure my wedding date was on a “safe day” I didn’t want it to be my time of the month and I don’t want a honeymoon baby either 😛

OP, we have the same wedding date!

I, too, am thinking I might be in this predicament. It’s awful to think of. I’m going to try to see if I can find any tips online to have an earlier one.

I made sure that the wedding wouldn’t fall anywhere near that time for me! Being on BCP made that easy, I wouldn’t have been able to if I weren’t on it, though. I agree with PPs… skip the sugar pill week and just continue with the regular pills if you’re on BCP. If you’re not, I would call your doctor tomorrow to see if you can make sure… stress can cause late periods so while you’ll probably be fine, it would be nice to be certain!

I’m currently panicking about the same thing. My period has never been regular, but when I picked my date I did so with my period in-mind; however, my monthly has proven time and again that it has a mind of its own. My period, unless it changes again, should make an appearance the day after our wedding, and I pray not a moment before. That’s the absolute last thing I want to deal with; the thought of ruining my dress, or feeling bloated and crabby… OY VEY!

I’ve been a BM for someone who was ‘on’ on her wedding day. I would NOT recommend it.

Especially if you need help going to the loo in your dress.

@ConRtist:  Date Twin 🙂

Im on the pill but due to get my period on our wedding day and ive never skipped before. I am thinking of starting a new month after 2 weeks to hopefully not retain so much fluid /bloat when I normally would. Not sure if it will work though :-/
