I am working with Pamela Cravens - she was referred by my wedding planner. I am paying $3K BUT that is for alot more than I think you want: brides bouqet, 6 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen boutonneirses, also corsages for mom and grandmom, 12 high centerpieces ($200 a pop), 3 displays on the escort table, 1 display on the sweetheart table and then a bunch of stuff for the cocktail hour..
Here's her info if you want to give her a try..

Try Burton's in Huntington. Beautiful and very reasonable - I think they'll make your budget. They quoted me half of what another place wanted. Good luck!
Thanks so much to the both of you guys! I dont know if you would get a referral credit (some of my vendors are) but if you do - please send me your name (PM if preferred) and I will be sure to mention you!
I am actually breathing a sigh of relief now!
hmm.. i'm not sure if the contract i have is in any way a 'deal'.. i'm contracted with 'Flowers By Brian' for $2500 for 20 low centerpieces, 2 bm bouquets, 1 MOH bouquet, the brides bouquet, a 'tossing' bouquet, 8 bout, 1 groom's bout, 5 corsages, petals for the runner, 2 baskets for the flower girls, and cake decoration.
here's the info:

i am using pedestals florist...they are long island based but also have an office in the city. they would definitely be able to stick close to that budget - mine was $1700 for about the same #'s you have above. i'm working with virgil and he's great!
Have you contacted Designs By Rose? They are a reasonably priced mother/daughter team. Also Flowers by Emil in Brooklyn. I also liked my florist, Ella Meyer of Limelight Floral.
Good luck!

I am almost at the point of pulling out my hair and turning to you guys for help.
I currently need the following from a florist and want to aim at $1500.00 as a budget:
1 Bridal Bqt, 7 Bridesmaids Bqts, 1 tossing Bqt, 13 Bouts., Flower Girl Petals, 12 low Centerpieces.
Can anyone refer a good but affordable florist? Most quotes are around $3000 - and I have even received one that was giving me the "deal of a lifetime" for $13,000. I want to scream to some of them that THEY ARE ONLY FLOWERS!!!
