I personally think open toe/peep toe shoes look better peeking out from a long dress than closed toe pumps do. I love closed toe pumps with shorter dresses though!
I wear pumps often, but don't like pointy toed shoes because they hurt my toes!
It all depends on the shoe.
If you want comfort, buy a slightly more expensive brand. I find Michael Kors pumps are super comfy, although I'm not sure he makes any wedding appropriate shoes. I love Enzo Angiolini shoes too
I agree that it depends on the shoe. I prefer peep toe but my work shoes I wear everyday are super comfy pointy toed shoes.
I wear pumps everyday. For closed toe I found round toe pumps more comfortable than point toe, but overall I love peep toe shoes. I think it's because they can fit without squishing your toes and they are made a little differently so they don't bother the balls of my feet.
open toe shoes are always mroe comfortable.. when your feet swell they'll have a place to go unlike close toe shoes!
I find rounded toe most comfortable. Sometimes peep toes kind of dig into my pinky toe a bit.
I wear rounded toe pumps. I like open/peep toe as well though.
I doing wear pointed because I feel like they make me look stupid.

Peep toes are because it's the summer, and they are popular at the moment. I hate them on me because my toes look weird... and the shoe cuts into them. I prefer round toe and those are the most comfortable for me. I am wearing round toe for my wedding :)
Round toed shoes are typically the most comfortable shoe for me so that is probably what I'm going to go with for my wedding shoes. I have a short dress and I'm getting married in October so I'll probably go with the closed toe pumps. I've tried on the pointy toed shoes and they aren't comfortable on me at all, plus I really don't like how they look.
I wear pumps everyday. I love peep toes. I don't know if they are more comfortable I just like the look of them. My feet always hurt so I don't know what comfortable is anymore. lol I just deal with it. I love high heels. PAIN FOR BEAUTY!
@Seaside: hah, i'm wearing Angiolini peeptoes atm!
i think that close rounded/almond toes are the most comfortable, but i love the look of peeptoes so that's what my wedding shoes are.
I think a lot of "dressy" shoes tend to be peep toes while ones that are more work appropriate are round toe/closed toe (because of dress codes) so that's why most bridal shoes a probably peep toe - plus it give you a chance to show off a pedicure and usually your feet will be cooler if the shoes are totally closed.
If you get quality shoes, the toe doesn't matter much. What you want to look for is a pump that has a larger platform under the front of your foot. Shoes with a larger platform keep your foot at less of an angle. It's shoes with a very thin platfrom that end up hurting your feet.
They're all pretty similar to me, the construction of the shoes is absolutely more important than the toe. I do find that strappy shoes tend to get uncomfy though because if your foot slides down, the straps will dig into your foot.
I prefer open and/or peep toe shoes. My feet get so hot in closed toed shoes, especially wearing them all day!
almond toe...its kind of pointed but still round...and I am a pump fiend...the higher the better
I voted peep toe, but I line the inside with moleskin if I feel that my toes feel like they're digging in too much. Rounded toe is fine for me too.
I actually prefer pointy toe'd heels on an everyday basis. Love the look under dress pants or with a dress/skirt. But, my wedding shoes are peep-toe and they're awesome!
Normally, I prefer pointy too. But for wedding shoes? I'd probably prefer rounded for the full romantic look!
if i could i would have checked all of the above... Im a heels girl so any pump style is good for me
Thanks so much for all of your input ladies! I guess i just need to try more on! But you know how you can never tell until you've actually been in them for a few hours?

Do you find that there's a difference in the comfort of you feet in shoes that have an open toe or a peep toe?
The story: I find that I really like the look of a rounded toe pump, but I notice that so many of the "bridal" shoes I see are open toe or peep toe... and I'm wondering if that's because they're just more comfy than closed-toe shoes or if it's a trend or what? I rarely ever wear pumps, so I'm totally clueless here!
Thanks everyone!
