Hi there Bea’s.
Just wondering if I should alter my dress so it’s a little more fitted around my hips, or if I should keep it as an A-line?
Your opinions would be appreciated!
Original A-line shape
Slightly fitted around the hips –
Should I change it?!

I think you should fit it more to your waist! And maybe a fuller petticoat. But I know some women don’t like the fluff

nearly_mrs_griffiths: I really like your dress as it is. I think the a-line shape nicely balances out the sleeves and top of the dress.

A line is a better fit. I agree with kittywolf13: needs to be more fitted around your waist. Pretty dress!

I’m going to echo the PPs. More fitted around the waist, with a moderately full petticoat/crinoline.

Your dress is very similar to mine (so obviously, I love it! Great choice!) I added a fit-and-flare crinoline underneath at the suggestion of my consultant, and it helped the bottom come out a bit without giving it too much poof (I didn’t want to look like a cupcake, lol) and it kept the hips from poofing out (the crinoline was snug and fitted around the hips.) It also looks like it could be taken in a bit at the waist, just for fitting purposes, if you want to. You look gorgeous though! Great choice!
