hello fellow brides (past, present, & future),

I really love my engagment ring. it has a center stone (.5 carat) and four channel set stones on each side (total .5 carat).

the picture below is not my ring, but it kind of looks like it...

Here's the problem...I don't like the way the wedding bands look with it. I've tried band with stone, no stones, everything...

Do I have to have a wedding band? or woould it be ok to use my engagment ring as my wedding ring?? help...

    It is very beautiful.
Truth is, if you don't want one, you don't have to have one... Some people will probably look at your hands and assume you're "just engaged"; personally that would bother me a little, but if you don't mind that, in no way do you HAVE to get a band as well.
Or you get a band to wear on your left hand and wear this one on your right hand, that way you still have two! :) (just kidding)

I think it's completly okay just to have one.  I debated for a while if I should get mine (although mine is a solatire and has a matching band).  I actually did a poll on here to help me decide, and some of the bee's made really good points and I went ahead and ordered it, not i'm excitedly waiting for it to come in.  I think the main reason I got mine was if I didn't want the big middle stone for everyday tasks(sometimes) or when I have kids...so maybe you could get an eternity band or something else you love, just to have, even if it doesn't match?  Then you could wear your e-ring on your right hand.  or just swap between the two.

I don't like the look of stacking a band with my ring, so I'm getting a wedding band to wear by itself.  Some days I may not want to wear my engagement ring, so I can wear my band instead of it, or I can wear one ring on my left hand and the other on my right.

I don't think you have to have one if you don't want on. and BTW, that ring is gorgeous!
