I’m wearing a blusher.  It’s part of the drama when you walk down the isle and your father lifts the veil.  Go for it!

cristinamarie92:  Are you at Kleinfeld’s??  It looks like it!

Where is your ceremony being held and are you doing a “first look”?  I had the same quandry and decided since his first look of me will be my walking down the aisle, I didn’t want anything covering my face.  However, I really love the idea.  I’d say if your FI will be seeing you before your dad escorts you to him, go for the blusher!

i didn’t wear a blusher and am glad i did! i just couldn’t see myself wearing one. i love how my veil looked without one! 🙂  if you really think you’re going to regret it, it’s worth ordering one with a blusher. i lost a little money on a belt that i got and decided i didn’t want to wear, and it was completely worth losing the money because i love my wedding day look.

also, you look amazing in your dress and i really like that veil!

I voted no blusher because a. I don’t like them and b. your face and dress are too pretty to cover up with a blusher.

cristinamarie92:  We did not do a first look and I am SO GLAD we did not.  I loved seeing the look on my husband’s face when I walked down the aisle.  Also, I am terrible at contrived poses and would have felt so silly doing the hands over his eyes thing or whatever.

I am always one for the blusher! I love the ethereal look you get by wearing a blusher! And –  oh my – not to start withe the most romantic gesture of lifting the veil before your first kiss as man & wife.

I love the veil you are wearing in the picture, it has a blusher with lace trim, right? That’s exactly what I would wear with your beautiful gown!!

cristinamarie92:  maybe you should go try on blusher vs non-blusher lace edged veils? any bridal shop should have them, not exactly like the one you ordered but enough to get an idea of what you like better! i think that’s what i would do if i were you! 🙂  also, on the topic of first looks… i’m so glad we didn’t do one. i loved the moment when i saw him waiting for me down the aisle… it was really magical. we had plenty of time to take pictures between our ceremony and reception and only had an hour cocktail hour. we just took all of our wedding party shots before the ceremony, did group and family pics right after, and then they all went to the cocktail hour while we went off for our pictures alone. i was really worried that it wouldn’t be enough time, but we had time to do many different settings and got a great variety of shots back!
