It depends on the store. Some stores make you purchase them, and some have them you can rent or even borrow for free. I would just give your store a quick call and find out. What’s it going to hurt?

And YES, you should go try on the sample with the slip….take of every opportunity to put your dress back on! I know I do 🙂

I think the dress will look nicer with the slip to give it a little shape.  I don’t think it will make you look short if you don’t over do it.  I mean I wouldn’t put a giant hoop skirt under there or anything.  Anyway, yes to your question.  I think you should try the dress on again with a slip.  This way you have an idea of what you need to get and maybe even obtain it ahead of time.  Might be cheaper to get it somewhere else than from the bridal shop.  Also when I asked my bridal shop if there have some slips lying around that I would be able to get at the last minute if my dress needed it.  They said that they are not sure.  Sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t.  What does that even mean? So to reduce extra stress close to the wedding I will be getting my slip ahead of time.
