I am having my bridesmaids dresses made by 2 different seamstresses in different states, I am not charging my numerous maids for fabric, just labour and shipping...how can I collect this money? Since shipping will have to be borne by me and another person is making the hats (total price is $150) I dont want to ask them to pay me directly but do I have to open a business checking account? Should I take credit cards on Pay Pal? I hate money issues

I just told mine that it was $150 WAYYYYY in advance (like, before we ordered the dresses) and told them to mail me a check. Some gave it to be before I ordered them, some after, but luckily I never had to badger them to pay me. I know it's weird, but if you have to be the one to collect the money rather than the seamstresses, I think asking them to just send you a check directly will be the easiest thing to do.

Money issues are never fun. rebecca is right - checks mailed directly are easiest. If you think that may be a problem for your maids, you can either address individually, or go for a PayPal that would allow them to pay by credit card (if that works better for them and isn't going to be too much hassle for you).

I like the idea of using Paypal, that way everything is in one place, they don't have to mail it, etc. Can they not pay the hat maker and dressmaker directly?
