I am new (to posting, not lurking) and I have a question/could use some advice!
We are having a fairly casual wedding, nothing too fancy, so I bought this dress. I like it, but I am wondering, do you think I should add some poof to it? It’s a hard decision, mostly because I can’t try it before buying one, you know?
It may also be important to note that on me, it hits the floor with no shoes on (so its not quite as short as it is in the stock photo)… so will any additional poof make it shorter? What do you girls think?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, a crinoline would make it a little shorter, but it would have to be quite a puffy crinoline to make much of a difference. Unfortunately though, I don’t think that skirt has the structure and space needed to make a crinoline work.
If you do decide to try one, bear in mind that a crinoline will also make it tighter around the hips since you’re adding another layer in there (I learned this the hard way, heh). If possible, it might be better to sew in a couple of extra layers of tulle to make an inbuilt underskirt. However unless there is a lining in there already, that would be quite difficult to do.
