Ok, so, I want our wedding to be a celebration and fun. We’ll have about 30 people. My fiance and I are not dancers. But it seems as if a wedding isn’t any fun without dancing, or at least that’s what I keep reading!! Can anyone suggest any alternatives to dancing that would make our wedding something memorable for our guests? The wedding will be held at a restaurant, it’s an old 1900 Victorian house. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
Our reception had 32 people, and we hosted it as an awesome dinner party. We did a 4 course meal with wine and beer pairings, which really encouraged people to linger at the table and enjoy really good conversation. Everyone sat at the same table, so getting the seating chart right was a big part of the success of the night. We made sure that the seating chart provided for a good mix of personalities to keep the conversation lively all night long. After dinner we had scotch and cigars to be enjoyed, along with background music that encouraged singing along. It was a lot of fun, with nary a raging dance party in sight. 🙂
