I am not clear to be honest I am sorry - - why would dancing offend your families? Its a form of art and expression - its fun - it puts everyone at ease - people laugh and smile and do silly things. They are all tasteful - oh is that it, you're concerned some dancing won't be tasteful?
As long as the music isn't raunchy and vulgar you should be fine with dancing.
Yes! I am concerned that some guests won't be tasteful! However, the music is also an issue. Neither his parents nor my mom ever listen to R&B or Soul music, no less than Hip Hop or Rap. They are strictly Gospel and Inspirational Music! We're concerned that with such a mixed crowd we might offend someone, especially my FI's entire church family because they are EXTREMELY conservative!
I would dance, and just be positive that the playlist is clean. If inspirational music is the only choice, go with upbeat songs. If clean secular would be okay, it would be very hard to dance in a raunchy manner to Shout and The Twist.
This is what I think - - they are your friends and you have chosen them to share a very special day in your lives. The music you choose will be tasteful and so if they like it they like it and if they don't they don't. That does not mean in any way they won't like you two....I think it will all work out. Pls don't work yourself up over this, no matter what not everyone will be 100% with every detail - unfortunately thats the way it goes with weddings....I do think that you'll be shocked though, maybe some of those ultra conservatives will be a hit on the dance floor - you never know

Hello, Bees:
My FI and I have been debating over this question for the entire length of our engagement! To Dance or Not To Dance!
Well, we're down to the last two months, and need to make a decision. Both of our families are extremely religious - his father is a pastor and my mom is a minister! However, we want our friends to have fun!
Any ideas on how to dance and have fun without offending our religious families?
