Hey all, just joined officially after reading the blog and boards since I got engaged 3 months ago!

Here's my question: Is it possible to find a DOC in the Los Angeles area without spending an arm and a leg? We are having a short engagement, and the big day is coming up fast....starting to freak out a little and I think I want someone to help me:) I definitely want someone on the day of, but maybe also someone to help me find a couple of last vendors. Any recommendations? I've been over to Project Wedding...anyone here ever work with Just Chic Events, In the Now, Style and Grace or Tealight? Wanted to see if anyone here had first hand experience before I start meeting people! Thanks for the help!

I am currently working with Paola (Just Chic Events)! And I ADORE her! I have a long engagement and she gave me no qualms about working with me 20 months away from the date. She's UBER informative, super sweet and so much fun. Great personality. I found her off a referral here on Wedding bee and really - it's probably one of the best choices I have made thus far. She's helped me get vendor deals, found me AWESOME vendors that are reasonable compared to others and have great services and just always sending me new ideas constantly.

I highly highly recommend my DOC, Sharlene Griffith - who is very reasonable and sweet. She's a great resource and really makes me feel comfortable I'm in good hands.

Also, Tiffany the Coordinator seems pretty good, too, but I have no experience with her professionally.

Amanda Auer from In the Now is my DOC for my Aug 09 wedding. From first meeting, I felt like we were friends. She has a great personality and truly loves her job and each of her couples.

As far as professionally, she is full of information, quick to respond, and always has great advice and vendor recommendations.
