After expecting my dress to come in, in August, I got an email that said it was in TODAY, so I made the two hour drive to go pick her up and now she is sitting in the closet of my guest bedroom.
While I was there, I decided to try on some veils. I really liked the look of the plain one, but my MOH said something shiny might be nice too.
So, I thought I would post a picture on the Bee and see if my plan veil looked ok with my dress or if I needed something a little more, like beading, to make it work.

The plain veil looks nice. But an embellished veil could look nice too. Do you have a theme or overall style for the wedding? The style would make a difference to me. For example, if you’re having a vintage glam wedding, then embellished would be perfect; but if you’re doing something country a plain veil might be a better fit.

Ooooh yes yes yes. It looks lovely as is but I feel like veil embellishments would add something really magical.

I think very subtle sparkle on your veil would look amazing since your dress is mostly (if not all) lace. Very pretty dress:)

I am usually verrrry conservative when it comes to bling, but I agree with PP a subtle sparkle would really make the look!

Yes! Definitely sparkle! It would look so pretty over that beautiful lace dress.

Because your dress is very textured due to the lace, I wouldn’t seek too much embellishment on your veil. However, I agree that some sparkle would be beautiful. I chose a cathedral-length, single-layer, raw-edged veil with Swarovski crystals scattered on it, and I loved it.

I like the plain veil. If anything, I’d keep the embellishment simple. That lace is gorgeous!

@SouthernGirl: I really like the look of the plain veil and I think if you are going to add sparkle maybe scattered rhinestones but nothing too over the top. Love the lace!
