Alright ladies here is my next dilema. My wedding colors are eggplant and antique green. When the fiance and I first looked at our venue we were shown the new chairs that they bought. They look like this
They are more of a wine color than puple and they are not gorgeous but they are new and they are clean. My fiance also HATES chair covers because they move all around and stuff so we decided that the chairs uncovered were fine.
The venue also gives us white linens and colored (plum) napkins for free, so we thought we were good there.
Heres the problem. This wedding has morphed into more than I ever thought I would have/spend. Thankfully we got a ton of extra help from my inlaws that I was not expecting so we are not going into debt or anything.
A couple days ago at my flower appointment (my mother in law is paying for the flowers) the lady mentioned linens and my mother in law informed me that the chairs at the venue were ugly and I “should really consider chair covers.” I also saw this beautiful overlay that i just fell in love with. It looks like this.
It will probably be another $700 that was not planned. I dont want to spend the money but now I have these new beautiful ideas in my head.

Honestly I think you are good to go, as things stand.
I only see Chairs & Chair Covers a “necessity” IF things are vastly different on-site from what you have planned colour-wise.
In this case, if your colours are Eggplant and Antique Green, and the chairs are as you’ve shown and NEW, and there are plum linens on the table, I think you are “close-enough” not to worry too much about the Eggplant aspect. Curious though if you are doing something else to pump up the Antique Green in regards to decor when it comes to the table settings etc (personally thinking that flowers might be the way to go for that aspect)
IMO… $ 700 is A LOT OF CASH !! For something, that truthfully most Guests won’t even notice (unless as I said the colour choices were jarring… which yours don’t seem to be)
Hope this helps,

@This Time Round: That does help a lot 🙂 The green should be played up in the flowers
but I would like to play both colors up more somehow. My fiance also wants “pops of teal” and though I secretly dont like it its his wedding too. So I was thinking about these (matiching flowers of course)
With colored glass beads things in the bottoms to accent colors.

TO – eeruhlig: Loving the flowers… and I could envision the roses in a teal shade in the various “vases” as shown above, with the addition of glass beads in the bottom that reflect your colour scheme. Think it would be quite pretty.
I did some GOOGLING for you… and found this great pic and website that you might find Inspiration with…
PHOTO – Inspiring Brides Blog = http://inspiringbrides.blogspot.ca/2011/06/real-wedding-elizabeth-chriss-backyard.html
The above pic as you can see features Eggplant, Green and a hit of Teal
Be sure and check out that website… because they have some great Inspiration Boards and pictures that feature your proposed colour scheme
I’ve linked to one in particular… *Elizabeth & Chris’s Backyard Wedding*… but if you use the TAGS on the right hand side of the page, and click on EGGPLANT it will bring up many many more combos.
Hope this helps,
